1. the act of withdrawing, as into safety or privacy; retirement; seclusion.
2. a place of refuge, seclusion, or privacy

Often, the most productive thing you can do is to take a break. Sometimes, the most creative thinking can be done
when you are removed from your day-to-day surroundings. More often than not, you can't get to the really important stuff,
because you cannot rise above everything else that needs to be done on any given day. A retreat is a wonderful way to get to the really
important stuff - whether it is your family, or your work.
The innkeepers at Westwood Farm understand this. Both Elizabeth and Jay had
high-powered, high-paced careers. They understand how a focused break can stir-up the creative juices, often with immeasurable benefits.
Business people find that getting your staff away from the office, can allow them to intellectually connect
and focus on priorities. With wireless internet throughout the inn, you can access your business, without being distracted
by the day-to-day office traffic.
That same energy can be a benefit for family retreats. No laundry, homework, or yard work can be done (but, if you truly believe yard work is a family bonding experience we'd be more than happy to accommodate you, as there is always work to be done on the farm). Families can return to remembering how important it is just to be together as a family.
