The Farm and Gardens
e cultivate our own fresh flowers, fruits, vegetables and eggs (See Ziggy Stardust, our resident rooster and hen protector, on the right). Take a walk through the Inn's 15 acres. Smell the fresh air, pick your own berries or veggies and enjoy the view of the Orange countryside. It's difficult to believe that an area this rural is only 90 minutes from Washington, DC and Richmond.
Join us this Spring, Summer and Fall of 2010 for the Westwood Garden Workshops. Together with Jenn Pineau of Sugar Magnolias we have created an exciting, educational and fun garden series.
Learn to build a worm bin, discover that lasagna isn't just for eating, find out how to save, shop for and swap seeds. We will guide you on how to use your entire landscape as a cutting garden, how to start & grow a flower cutting garden and finally, how to arrange flowers with your own seasonal landscape.
In these workshops you'll be able to relax, learn and eat well here at Inn at Westwood Farm.
These two day workshops will take place March, April, July, August and November, and be held on the grounds of Inn at Westwood Farm.
Feel free to call us 888.661.1293 if your curious!
All through the long winter, I dream of my garden.
On the first day of spring, I dig my fingers deep into the soft earth.
I can feel its energy, and my spirits soar.
