Virginia Splendor

The Farm and Gardens

We cultivate our own fresh flowers, fruits, vegetables and eggs (See Ziggy Stardust, our resident rooster and hen protector, on the right). Take a walk through the Inn's 15 acres. Smell the fresh air, pick your own berries or veggies and enjoy the view of the Orange countryside. It's difficult to believe that an area this rural is only 90 minutes from Washington, DC and Richmond.

All through the long winter, I dream of my garden.
On the first day of spring, I dig my fingers deep into the soft earth.
I can feel its energy, and my spirits soar.

-- Helen Hayes
