Inn at WESTWOOD FARM, Orange Virginia

Welcome, Rejoice, Relax

Sun-filled, elegantly appointed 1910 farmhouse on 15 lovely acres with barn, paddocks, gardens, chickens and woods make staying at this luxury inn a unique experience. This Orange, Virginia bed and breakfast is located near Charlottesville, and is the perfect respite from urban stress.  Westwood is a wonderful location for outside tented events, intimate barn weddings or elopement!

Just a 90 minute drive from Washington, DC, 60 minutes from Richmond, and only 30 minutes to Charlottesville, Inn at Westwood Farm is conveniently located near James Madison's Montpelier and Barboursville Vineyards. Within a short scenic drive you will find Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, Old Rag Mountain, Shenandoah National Park, Civil War battlefields,  and many historical sites along the Journey Through Hallowed Ground.

Westwood's Greek Revival architecture is complimented with a thoughtful blend of antique  and contemporary furniture and art.

You'll enjoy bright, airy open rooms with soft colors to instill an ambiance of relaxation and comfort. Crisp French linens and down bedding, modern bathrooms with thoughtful details, early morning coffee and tea outside your door and farm to table breakfasts made with local organic ingredients. Of course, the Westwood Farm hens provide fresh eggs for your daily breakfast.

Spring has arrived at the Inn at Westwood Farm! Our daffodils are up, Viburnum Mohican are as fragrant as ever, and the lilacs are budding! Take a break from your norm, come stay with us at Westwood and enjoy the fresh air and local beauty.

James Madison's Montpelier is getting ready to open an amazing new exhibit The Mere Distinction of Colour. Inspired by a Madison quote - the exhibition builds on 17 years of archaeological excavation, documentary research, oral history and cultural exploration. Visitors will move through the cellars of the main house to six reconstructed slave dwellings and work buildings in the South Yard. This unique experience examines the institution of slavery in the Founding Era, celebrates the humanity of Montpelier's enslaved people, and confronts the legacies of slavery in today's world.

Plan a trip for this specific week in June or months to follow to enjoy this and come enjoy this incredible Montpelier exhibit. Perfect time to add a kayak trip with the Rapidan River Kayak Company as well!

We welcome you to make a secure reservation on our website. If it's more convenient, please call or e-mail us and we'll take care of the details for your weekend.

Looking forward to your visit,
Elizabeth & Jay
